This year’s Property Care Association Awards took place in Cambridge on Thursday 12th May, and, as always, Newton were thrilled to attend, as well as scooping a couple of awards ourselves between our awesome Technical team and fantastic Newton Specialist Basement Contractors.
Aimee-Jayne Goodes CSSW – Newton Technical Manager
Winner of the CSSW Student of the Year Award
We are extremely proud to count Aimee, the newly crowned CSSW Student of the Year, amongst our experienced and knowledgeable team of Technical experts here at Newton Waterproofing.
With an Honours Degree in Architecture from Portsmouth University, Aimee has been with Newton since 2011, during which time she has been primarily responsible for the drawn technical output produced by Newton, including FastrackCAD, NBS Plus, and, more recently, our NBS BIM Library.
Aimee’s experience in the company and industry has also seen her role expanding to include the delivery of Newton’s top RIBA-approved waterproofing CPD, as well as participating in one-to-one discussions and design meetings with architects and engineers.
“Thanks to the consistent mentoring and support that I have had at Newton over the past 5 years, I have definitely surprised myself, not only by achieving CSSW status in the first place, but also by winning this award for my exam results! I’m extremely grateful to find myself working amongst colleagues who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Technical team, and to Newton as a whole.”
Winner of the Contractor of the Year Award
Advanced Preservations were an inaugural Newton Specialist Basement Contractor when the scheme was first implemented back in 2003, and have been at the forefront of the damp proofing, timber preservation and structural waterproofing industries for over 30 years.
Their expertise spans across all three of the aforementioned industries, with a team of qualified surveyors capable of dealing with projects of any size. All of this is also supplemented by active and ongoing training, in order to ensure that they provide the best solutions available, in line with modern techniques and current standards.
“We at Advanced Preservations Ltd very much value the recognition this award has bestowed on us by the ‘Property Care Association’.
To be voted the winner highlights the diligence of our design and installation team of persistently working to high standards using reliable systems and products supplied by Newton Waterproofing, who are always on hand for technical advice and have an unparalleled track record for reliability.” – Peter Reay, Advanced Preservations
These two recognitions, alongside Newton’s consistent past successes at the PCA Best Practice Awards, cement the quality and technical expertise of both Newton Waterproofing Systems and our network of highly trained and trusted contractors. As always, it was a pleasure to celebrate these achievements with all of our contractors at the ceremony.
