As the countdown continues to the Vision London exhibition on the 2nd and 3rd of June, Newton Waterproofing Systems is excited to reveal more details of both its involvement in the exhibition, and the innovative new product that architects, specifiers and clients in attendance will be treated to, Newton 403 HydroBond.
Hosted at the Olympia Conference Centre, Vision London is the industry-leading event through which new and inventive ways to achieve better building design and comply with changing legislation are presented. Newton’s ingenious new external waterproofing membrane, 403 HydroBond, will be at the forefront of this carefully curated exhibition of cutting-edge products on show, with its own dedicated exhibition space in the exclusive New Product Zone, an area restricted to exhibitors who are presenting only the most innovative solutions from across the entirety of the built environment.
Newton 403 HydroBond – Unique Waterproofing Qualities
Managing Director Warren Muschialli is confident that Vision attendees will be excited to see what Newton has to show, and to also hear what they have to say:
“Newton 403 HydroBond is unique. As a ‘Type A’ barrier waterproofing product, as defined by BS 8102:2009, it utilises contemporary materials and technologies in a way that has the potential to revolutionise the waterproofing industry. Amongst numerous extremely desirable properties, it combines mechanical bonding, self-healing capability, ease of application, and flexibility, in order to provide an external waterproofing barrier that can be used on any below ground or earth-retained stucture, from the smallest of domestic basements to the largest civil engineering projects.”
Over 50,000m2 of HydroBond Installed Across Europe
The product’s practical benefits have already been trialled and proven in real-world situations, with approximately 50,000m2 already installed on domestic and commercial sites across Europe in 2014 and 2015, including a development of 193 Crest Nicholson apartments and executive houses in Sunbury-on-Thames. Having fitted 403 HydroBond, Paul Dennison, Director of Buxted Construction who were the waterproofing contractor on this project, observed, “Newton HydroBond is a very robust, unique
and easy to install system. I would not hesitate to recommend this superior product to our clients on future developments.”
Newton’s confidence in 403 HydroBond is further reinforced by BDA Agrément Certificate BAB 14-031/02/A, which provides the product with a gold-standard certification that is widely recognised by architects, specifiers and engineers across the industry, as well as by professional bodies including the National House Building Council and Local Authority Building Control.
Complete Waterproofing Solutions
With the potential to provide a durable waterproof covering for the life of the building, HydroBond is best used with other Newton products to provide a coordinated and comprehensive waterproofing solution. The education of others in the benefits and strengths of this combined approach, as well as the pitfalls of not doing so correctly, is integral to the culture at Newton.
Vision London attendees will be given the opportunity to benefit from this philosophy too, as Newton Senior Technical Manager Richard Crossley hosts his expert seminar ‘The Combined Waterproofing Approach’ at 12:30 on Tuesday 2nd June.
