As a part of its recent campaign to expand upon its existing product range, the raft of changes has also included Newton Waterproofing Systems bringing in new products to not only improve upon their existing product capabilities but to also replace existing product specifications, rather than simply adding more into the mix.
In introducing its new Newton 707-C trafficable protective coating, Newton customers will see a significant improvement in the capabilities of Newton’s range of finish coatings as the new product takes over responsibilities from two existing membranes.
Joining the current System 700 range, and replacing the incumbent Newton 702 Floorgum Paint and Newton 703 Floorgum Tyre on a whole range of specifications, Newton 707-C takes the capabilities and features of the existing products and both expands and improves upon them.
Consisting of both more modern and more advanced technological components, the new liquid-applied waterproof coating is also more hard wearing and easier to apply, making it perfect either for sealing or coating concrete surfaces, or for use as a protective wearing coat over other Newton liquid membranes such as Newton 103-S, Newton 110 WATstop, Newton 114 Acriflex, and the recently released Newton 706-HB.
Newton Technical Manager Ben Fordham, who was responsible for sourcing the new product, is extremely optimistic about its capabilities:
“Whilst the existing products in our range were perfectly adequate when it came to fulfilling the requirement for a liquid waterproofing coating that is trafficable and can also act as a wearing coat, we weren’t simply going to rest on our laurels, safe in the assumption that we already had the right product. By constantly looking to the future and at advancements in product technology we now have a new coating membrane that fulfils exactly the same specification role, but also comes with significant performance and application improvements across the board.”
