8 of our bravest Newton Spartans undertook the Spartan South Sprint at the weekend – a gruelling 5 mile race with 20 obstacles including: jumping over fire, scaling 9 foot walls, slithering across monkey bars, swimming 100 metres and wading through chest height mud! The good news was that the weather was simply fabulous, glorious sunshine in East Sussex.
Death Defying Obstacles!
The Non-Spartan Hula Hooper!
Marketing Director Lucinda wasn’t brave enough to join them in the mud, but supported by hula hooping non stop from the first Newtonite starting the race until the time the last one finished – 2 hours in all!
Supporting Great Charities
Our team did so well, they all supported eachother even when they were exausted and drenched, and losing the will to live! They have raised over £1,000 for charity so far for their five chosen charities: Cherry Trees, Mind, Tree Of Hope, Hospice In The Weald and Football For Cancer (FFC)
