What Is A Movement Joint?
A movement joint (also known as an expansion joint) is a purposefully designed break in construction to allow for movement caused by ground settlement in that area rather than affecting the rest of the structure. It also allows for the absorption of the expansion and contraction of construction materials, caused by temperature changes.
Products For Waterproofing Movement Joints
Newton 210 FlexProof-NV is a single component liquid waterproofing material, which forms an elastomeric polymer seal for the waterproofing of movement joints.
Rainproof in minutes, it provides a watertight and flexible sealant that allows the joint to expand and contract whilst still being watertight.
- No mixing required – simply open the packaging and use.
- Can be used in sub zero temperatures and on slightly damp substrate.
- No primer required – saving on primer and labour costs.
