On-Site Technical Advisor/Site Surpervisor

Based in our the technical and sales head office in Tonbridge, Kent, you must be prepared to spend time away from headquarters, predominantly on sites in London and the South East. You will be living within reasonable commuting distance of the office, including, but not limited to; Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Dartford, South / South East London, Bromley, Croydon, etc.
After full training in our wide range of products and systems, with the possibility of gaining relevant industry qualifications, as an On-Site Technical Advisor / Site Supervisor you will be taking responsibility for on-site customer training and the application inspections of the company’s products and systems.
Based within the Technical department, reporting to the Technical Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Answering technical calls and advising customers of the company’s systems as solutions in keeping with relevant British Standards
- Working closely with our Technical Managers and Advisors to offer assistance with project supervision
- Organising site visits with customers in keeping with the customer and the site requirements
- Logging all site visits and project related correspondence including photographic evidence, drawings and reports
- Providing technical solutions by means of sketches or robust explanations with the aid of existing company literature
You might be a recent construction or engineering graduate searching for your first proper step into the industry, or have practical hands-on site experience and be looking for something a little more challenging. Whatever your background you’ll ideally have a relevant engineering or construction related qualification (Degree, HNC, City & Guilds, or NVQ’s) and you’ll be able to demonstrate practical skills, but at the same time take on board technical information and communicate clearly and professionally with both customers and colleagues.
Although not essential, experience or knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel works or basement construction would be extremely advantageous, as would experience with construction design. However it is also important that you must be able to fully engage with the construction process in a safe manner and be able to show a good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Standards.
