It’s our 170th year and the celebrations started last week with a Newton client party hosting contractors, architects, engineers, and a variety of specifiers as well as our NSBCs aboard the Thames Leisure riverboat the William B.

We cruised from Westminster Pier to Putney – giving our guests a riverside view of some of the iconic and historic buildings we’ve worked on together designing and installing waterproofing solutions over the years, as well as those that we’ve helped to damp proof along the way.

Chairman Christopher Newton welcomed everyone with a few words, reminding us that the company has not lost sight of the values of its family beginnings or its independence, and it is this autonomy that allows the company to continually stand out from its competitors:

quotation marks“I have always been proud to say that Newton is a family-run company, with a strong ethos that provides the foundation for the 21st century company. Alongside our independence this grants us complete impartiality and a valuable freedom, allowing us to grow and improve whilst consistently offering the highest levels of service and sourcing new and innovative solutions.”
“It was a fitting night to win the Times Business Awards Family Business of the Year, we are very proud of our achievements, family leadership and hardworking team, I think John Newton would have approved…”
Christopher Newton, Chairman
