Newton Waterproofing will be presenting a range of RIBA-approved CPD seminars via RIBA Academy and the SpecifiedBy online directory.

When Are Newton’s Next RIBA CPD Seminars?

CPD Presentation

At 2pm on Tuesday 7th November, Newton will host a free CPD webinar with SpecifiedBy on “A Designers Guide to ‘Type C’ Waterproofing to the New British Standard 8102:2022”.

The seminar will cover the updates to the most recent British Standard, the types of waterproofing systems available, an overview of how to manage water ingress with cavity drain (Type C) waterproofing systems, and the most important design considerations.

Another CPD will be held with RIBA on Monday 4th December at 1pm, and for those looking further ahead, the Newton CPD page will soon be releasing a series of free webinar dates throughout 2024 with both RIBA Academy and SpecifiedBy.

What is the Importance of RIBA Approved CPD Seminars?

As RIBA CPD Core Curriculum providers, Newton Waterproofing delivers CPDs on a wide range of subjects, and is the first in the waterproofing industry to offer a RIBA Approved Factory Tour, offering specifiers a practical demonstration of the installation of Type A, B and C structural waterproofing systems, as well as educating designers on their obligations when specifying below ground waterproofing in accordance with BS 8102:2022.

At Newton, we recognise that delivering RIBA-approved CPD seminars is paramount within the waterproofing industry – these courses ensure that professionals stay updated with the latest industry trends, innovations and best practices, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

As waterproofing continually evolves, architects and specifiers need to adapt to new technologies, sustainable design principles and changing regulations, and at Newton Waterproofing, we are dedicated to meeting CPD requirements and contributing to the skills of these professionals as well as to the overall excellence of waterproofing practice.

What Does it Mean to be RIBA Accredited?

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is a global professional membership body driving excellence in architecture, serving members and society in order to deliver better buildings and places, stronger communities and a sustainable environment.

The Institute has a history of promoting high quality and innovative architectural education throughout the world. Through RIBA CPD accreditation, the Institute identifies courses and examinations which achieve the standards necessary to prepare specifiers for professional practice.
