We have added a new CPD training session to our portfolio, helping architects and specifiers keep up to date with current industry practices.
The RIBA-approved seminar covers the subject of Type A “barrier” waterproofing protection, which is applied to either the internal or external surface of a structure to resist the pressure of water trying to enter a building.
The presentation also explores Type A waterproofing design requirements, including the principles of Type A membranes, the reason behind historic failures, and how to design effective Type A solutions utilising pre-applied, post-applied and internal membranes, as well as the relevant detailing and application issues to be aware of.
The new CPD adds to our already extensive list of seminar options, including:
We also offer a shortened 15-minute video version of their leading CPD on “Structural Waterproofing Design Strategies to BS 8102:2009” available to watch for free at any time that suits you.
When the easing of government restrictions allow, we will also be bringing back in-person CPD’s on customer premises, or at our head office in Tonbridge, Kent.
Until then, we are offering CPD sessions via video conference on all major platforms, in accordance with its commitment to supporting those in the industry in their professional development during the challenges posed by Covid-19. All confirmed attendees to these sessions will also receive a £5 Uber Eats voucher on completion of the seminar.
Throughout the pandemic, our experts have been hosting regular live CPD webinars and sharing our large portfolio of free e-learning modules, helping customers maintain their knowledge of waterproofing methods and products.
You can register for your next CPD training session by emailing training@newtonwaterproofing.co.uk or calling 01732 360 095.
