CPD Presentation

Alongside the online webinars, all CPD presentations are also available as face-to-face seminars, as private webinars over video call, or as virtual e-learning training modules.

In addition to delivering their RIBA-approved CPDs, Newton also provides a complete waterproofing Design Service, from initial consultations and design meetings through to site support and guaranteed installation by the company’s approved contractors, all backed by their own Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Newton Waterproofing Managing Director Warren Muschialli comments: “The British Standard for Waterproofing BS8102:2022 recommends that a waterproofing specialist should be appointed as part of the design team so that an integrated waterproofing solution is created. This specialist should be suitably qualified, capable of devising solutions that accommodate project constraints, and able to provide the design team with guidance to assist with the design, installation and future maintenance of the waterproofed structure.

“The recent updates to the Building Safety Act 2022 also allow Building Regulations to impose competence requirements relating to either the skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours of any appointed person, or the organisational capability of any business involved in the design of a project. As a result, the need for specialist involvement in specification processes has never been higher.

“By employing Newton’s team of industry-qualified experts, specifiers will benefit from our help with their design process, not only in terms of education, but also in terms of compliance, and in ensuring guaranteed installations by specialist contractors – all supported by the knowledge of the most experienced company in the UK waterproofing industry.”
